Day 10 of our Trip...

                                             Mother's Day
Mousey Mom, we love the headbands!  We will be getting more!:)

Day 10 of our time in Ethiopia
By Thursday, we were really ready to return to the U.S.  If you know me well, you know this is not normal for me but we were so ready, we had been through the embassy and just were waiting for visas!
Everyday, Jon was in charge of cleaning the bottles, refilling the bottled water and sterilizing the nipples.  He spent a lot of time in the kitchen with the cook (also our photographer) Hailu.  I looked at this picture and thought, did we really look this tired, but yes, this day, all day, we looked shot...

On Thursday, we did a lot of hanging out at the Guesthouse.  Brian and Mabel gave us several breaks during the week and we were able to catch much needed naps!

This is Merette, the daughter of  Brian and Mabel.

In her Ethiopian gear...
Susan with Rewina and Mulat
I also went shopping with a few of the other parents for a few last minute things...Brian models with the model. :) We ended up having about two suitcases full of things from Ethiopia.  We tried to think long-term on things the girls would appreciate later.  I was also stimulating the Ethiopian economy...
Kevin and Erica came by again to meet the girls.  It was great to see them and we wish we could have had more time hanging out!
Andy and Holly were with them and they were also adopting infant twin girls!  We didn't have much time and I was talking so fast to them!  I don't know if they will ever read this, but my apologies for being a total spazzoid.  I think we could have sat and talked for hours!

The whole group went out for what was supposed to a "celebration" dinner. It ended up kind of more like "disaster" dinner.  It was all the kids' first time in a restaurant.  Add this to the fact that some of the families didn't get to go home because of embassy problems and staying up way past bedtimes...
Erin and Pat
Ryan is the older brother of Tamar. He was able to come with his dad and their pastor...

Looking at this day, all I have to say, NO WONDER WE WERE EXHAUSTED!

You have been on my blogroll for a few months and I have LOVED following your adoption story and have absolutely fallen in love with your girls. Thank you for letting us all be a part of it.
