I have always assumed an immigrant i...Fascinating! I have always assumed an immigrant is someone who moves elsewhere with the intention to stay and gain citizenship if possible whereas an expat is someone who temporarily lives outside his country with the plan to return???<br />But regardless, there are stereotypes associated with both terms and they could certainly be discriminatory. Expats are probably always in a "better" position because they have options and resources to leave a place if necessary...<br />Love keeping up with you guys a little!
