When people hear of our future plans, it isn’t uncommon they mention, “Oh, we know someone in Zambia or Senegal fill in the blank, you will have to hook up with them when you move.” ;)
Just to bring a little perspective…
This is a map of Africa. Ethiopia is in the orange.

Now here is where the perspective comes…

Isn’t that incredible?

That is good perspective! Thanks for sharing!
super cool visual =)
Wow that is really cool! I found out after moving that nearly every country/continent uses maps that are slanted in their favor...as in, their country is larger or more centralized. Funny, isn't it, to see the truth?!
Hi Amy, love your blog!
I live in Cape Town, South Africa- it's a big city, not unlike many of the big cities in the United States and yet I often have people asking me what it's like to live in 'Africa' and do I see lions and elephants regularly...
I can't help but giggle :)
Wow! That is amazing. I had no idea Africa is so big!
Wow! Totally clueless to how big Africa was...
Love our pool time today! Have a super night!
I love this picture! I have heard that comment so many times in these past couple weeks since coming back from SIMStart. My dad actually called me and told me my cousin just got back from Kenya and of course has Malaria. Now I don't know why she was there or even how long but his immediate reaction was you should call her. I said no, I want to wait until I find out where I'm going and then I will. Thanks for sharing!
