The Littles had collaborated during naptime, "Let's put on fancy clothes and go out to a fancy restaurant!" and who are we to stand in the way of two very fancy preschoolers?
We talked them out of wearing their tattered princess dresses as we weren't sure of cultural implications and convinced them of the next best thing. Gasp! LONG dresses. Very fancy.
While The Littles waited for us to get ready, they did the very fancy monkey bars, unhindered by their unders showing. :)
Then we drove to a restaurant that had "Mexican" on the sign because we are fancy like that.
Positive that any fine dining experience includes dancing, The Littles and Jon had some moves. Thankfully, we were the only people in the restaurant. (And yes, I did get Jon's permission to post this video. :))
And The Littles ordered corn dogs because only the finest restaurants have those. (Seriously though, first hot dogs we have seen in a restaurant here-they were delighted).
Here's a picture of my food. Don't be deceived by it's Mexican appearance. It was good but the enchiladas were filled with curried chicken. It was like Indian/Mexican fusion.
The evening was topped off with something ice-creamish that came in a cone. Totally a win.
