Aunt Kris Post #1: And They're Off!

My mom suggested that "Aunt Kris" may be a better title for this guest blogger, so I thought I would suggest it to all of you too. :)

Jon and Amy's plane left Chicago not too long ago. I talked with Amy for a while during their 6.5 hour layover and it's probably the last conversation I will have with her without a loud child in the background for quite a while. :) Jon was working while Amy was people watching at the airport. She was conducting her own research project to see if there was a trend for the types of people who are willing to make eye contact with a stranger and smile. No trends found yet.

My parents took Jon & Amy to the airport this morning and took these photos. It looks like they may not have slept too much last night!

And here is a shot of how they really feel right now:

I wasn't there, but I'm guessing they may be thinking about how they will survive the plane ride home. ;)

Please keep Jon and Amy in your prayers as they are traveling now. And pray that Amy sends lots of updates so I don't have to resort to boring you all with posts about my life. :) She said "no news is good news", but I still hope for good news updates!

"Miss Kris"
Good job on the post. I do think Aunt Kris is more fitting than Miss Kris, but Miss Kris rhymes. :) It kind of sounds like a name a nanny would have. I'll stick with Aunt Kris,
Love you!

Great post Aunt Kris,
I agree with the Aunt Kris change, beats Miss Kris which reminded me of Miss Priss which was more fitting when you were four!
And now the journey begins......

We are so excited for them to meet their baby girls. My husband and I took pictures of them in January when we visited Mekele prior to bringing our daughters home. They were teeny tiny little 5 and 6 pounders at the time. I can't wait to see those sweet babies in their parent's arms.
