This is bound to be a boring post, no pictures. :)
Many of you have asked us about where we are at in our next adoption process and you have heard us give vague answers, smile and then quickly change the subject. If you e-mailed about it, we just probably never responded.
Do you remember a few months back when we asked you to pray through some “big things” with us? Well, God has brought us some direction, although for a few months span, we just held still with the adoption as we weren’t sure what the future held.
Thanks for your prayers. We have come through this season, more in love with Jesus, each other and The Littles. We also are more deeply surrendered and submitted to His Will for our family.
I am also happy to report that we are again, MOVING FORWARD with the adoption process. After just sitting on a homestudy for over two months, our application for USCIS approval is going out in the mail tomorrow (!!!) and we pick up the dream of a third (and possibly fourth) child from Ethiopia once again.
If you aren’t familiar with the adoption world, this means we now start scrambling for the dossier paperwork and hope to have it all compiled when we are approved for immigration and then we enter the waitlist.
The updates with Ethiopian adoption are bleak as far as a quick process, but hopefully these measures put in place further protect Ethiopian children and families. So, we don’t know what this means as far as wait time, but we step out in faith once again.
I am glad my God is BIG. :) Thanks for listening.
