Stick With Me Till the End, Okay?-A GIVEAWEAY!

I haven’t done a giveaway on my blog. I guess it ties into me being really tight with money.  The good news is all that is about to be changed, because we are going to have our first “Treasures in Jars of Clay” Giveaway!

Yes, that is right, but it is a little complicated.  You see, I need your help.  I am sure that many of you have heard about National Orphan Sunday happening on November 7, 2010. Check out the website http://www.orphansunday.org/.  I am a state rep for this initiative and part of our jobs as state reps is to get the word out and have people/churches enter events that will happen around this date on behalf of the orphan.  Well…let’s just say that this year, two little babies have taken over my world and I have not gotten out and done my job!  I know many of you are involved with orphan ministries or churches or groups of friends that may be doing something for this day.
What counts as an event?

Honestly, about anything. It can be as small as you and a few friends gathered at your house to pray for the orphan or as large as an orphan ministry launch at your church and anywhere in between, it all counts.  If you want ideas, the website http://www.orphansunday.org/ and http://www.loving-shepherd.org/ have great ones.  Loving Shepherd Ministries will even give loads of free resources to help your church launch their own orphan ministry! You can also e-mail me for ideas.

If you are going to host or participate in any sort of event, enter it at the Orphan Sunday website! It is that easy!

So, here comes the giveaway part:
Has anyone ever heard of 147 Million Orphan Gear? You can check it out at (http://147millionorphans.com/147-gear).
147 orphans 147 orphan2 147 orphan3 147 orphans4
The backs of the baseball tees say “Feed 1”

With each purchase of a shirt from the “Feed 1” series, an orphan in Haiti and in Uganda is fed for one week.  Cool, Huh?
We will be giving away three of their shirts from the “Feed One” series.

How Can You Win?
The Rules:
1) Leave a comment on this post by October 11th at noon and you are entered once.
2) If in that comment you tell me that you blogged or facebooked about this post, you are entered again (Please actually blog or facebook it, don’t just tell me that you did). :)
3) If in that comment you also tell me that you have entered an event at http://www.orphansunday.org/, whether for your church or a personal event, you are entered again.

That’s right, you have the ability to be entered three times!  I will choose three random winners. If you win, you choose the size, style and color.  Not a baseball-T or T-shirt fan? They have toddler and kid sizes as well.

Comment to be a part of the drawing!

Will you join us in spreading the word on behalf of the orphan?

Need ideas about what to do? Look at the previous post or click here.

Hi Amy - I would really like to know more about what I can do for this event but also in general. I put your blog on facebook. God bless you and your family. You are a great mom!

Thanks for commenting on our blog :) We're really excited about where God is taking our family.

I Facebooked about Orphan Sunday and shared with my pastor. So hopefully, you will have a church in Indiana that's 'celebrating' Orphan Sunday. :) (though don't worry; I'm not sure this last one counts, just thought you'd like to know).

Hi Amy, I was so excited about this! So I put it on my blog http://walzsadoptionstory.blogspot.com/

I requested the DVD "Answer the cry" and our small group will be watching it and having time of prayer. I have tried to add the event to the website but am having troubles. I also emailed our pastor and am trying to have him so one of the short videos prior to the sermon. So we will see what happens! So excited about the shirts! I love them!

Wow! I never knew blogs did giveaways. What a thoughtful way of getting people involved in Orphan Sunday.

I have blogged about this giveaway and have tried to post something on the Orphan Sunday website, but it tells me that page is unavailable. I will keep trying. Anyway, I will be writing an article for our church newsletter about orphans and how we can help.

By the way, your girls are beautiful. I can see why you've been so busy this year.

God bless you!
