A Gift For All The Mamas Waking Up Early

It had never crossed my mind before this year that dealing with Daylight Savings time can be a doozy for mothers.  Especially when time “falls back”.  I used to think, “Yay, time to sleep in!” Little J and Little A didn’t get the memo.

They were ready to go to sleep at 6:30 pm and wide awake at 6:00 am.  Oh, please no.  So, this week, we have been in the process of pushing off naps, pushing off nighttime, in an effort to not get up at 6:00 am.  We have had our share of grouchiness, but I am happy to report, they slept till 7:15 this morning!

So, the gift part? Along came a week of gorgeous weather.  Maybe God’s way of blessing the Mamas dealing with their own set of grumpiness?  We have been outside, enjoying the brown foliage and on many stroller rides.  It has been glorious.

I love watching the girls explore the world around them.

AGREED!! My boys were up at 545 AM this morning. My morning prayer was "God, this has the makings for a BAD day - please help me to NOT be so grump!" Michael could tell it was going to be a rough morning. As he went to work he was chuckling at me (I may or may not have been already complaining) and said "Why don't you get a nap in today?" :) Ouch.

Anyway, we too have been loving this weather! We've had two campfires in the garden this past week, been at the park and playing on scooters and bikes in the driveway - love it!!

Can't wait for your giveaway!!! :)

So cute!! They are precious! I remember when mine were really little that daylight savings time always threw off our schedules! But it does get a little better as they get older! So glad they slept in more today!

I love the light in the morning but not so fond of the darkness earlier in the evening. It means less outside time. I LOVE the new picture of the girls at the top of your blog. I can not believe how big they are getting. It seems like just yesterday that I was holding them in Mekele, giving them TONS of kisses for you guys. They were only 7 lbs. then but very healthy looking. I was so excited to be able to see them when we were there and I love keeping up with your blog. I really want to go to Indiana some day soon to see you guys. We think about you often. So glad you are doing well.
